Welding students need more than an answer. They need a way to connect what they studied, what happened in the booth, and what to discuss with their instructor next.
That is the purpose behind WeldED AI, a developing learning platform from Arc & Algorithm.
Choose your course. Prepare for lab.
The new homepage gives students a clear starting point, with active learning experiences for SKTR Welding Course materials, weekly topics, preparation prompts, and reflection activities help students arrive with better questions and a plan for learning.
Shared BoodleBox assistants are also available through separate links for learning support, qualification practice, debriefing, and pre-lab parameter discussions.
Take a closer look with Weld HAWK Analyst
Weld HAWK Analyst connects supported CSWT Excel recordings or ObserverTrace TXT exports with a matching welding video.
After the user aligns the files, one play button moves the video and data together. Students can pause at a useful moment, capture the available electrical readings and timestamps, and add their own observation and a question for the instructor.
The result is a more specific conversation:
“What was happening here, what does the recording actually show, and what should I check during my next practice attempt?”
Students can download a structured reflection for instructor review and save a local review session to reopen with the original files later.
Technology that supports the instructor
The analyst does not automatically diagnose weld defects, certify a weld, or determine code compliance. Recorded signals provide evidence to examine; interpretation and final evaluation remain with the instructor and the applicable procedure.
The next development discussions include support for SMAW recording analysis, clearer data exports, and more reliable synchronization between video and sensor data.
WeldED AI is a working prototype under active development. The live pilot has restricted access. Individual student accounts, enrollment controls, and Blackboard sign-in are planned and are not yet implemented.

If you teach welding, develop training technology, or work in technical education, I would welcome a conversation about how this approach could support your students.
